Peter Koning

Peter Koning is Senior Director of Sustainable Development at ConocoPhillips Canada. He has over 30 years experience working on environmental and social issues related to oil and gas development. This has included deep engagement with Indigenous communities and environmental organizations. Peter has applied his pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to all his work, including leading or participating in many multi-stakeholder initiatives and influencing government policy and regulations associated with energy development. Since 2016, as a hobby, Peter pursues his passion for the climate change-energy nexus by curating a weekly ‘Energy Shift’ email/blog posted to his website: StewardingEnergy.com.
