Jochem Kamstra

Jochem Kamstra is the CEO of Secant Fuel, a start-up which focuses on converting CO2 into syn gas. Jochem has a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Hochschule Osnabruck (Germany), and an executive MBA from RRU (Canada). Jochem brings 20 years of industrial experience working for large corporations like Ingersoll Rand and Siemens. Jochem oversaw Siemen’s solutions business across Canada, selling, engineering and executing electrification projects  all the way to hundreds of millions of dollars. Jochem is part of the Energy Futures Lab, a non-for profit social innovation lab with the goal to reach Net Zero in Alberta in an equitable way. In his last two years at Siemens Energy, Jochem was part of the global sustainability team, responsible to design and execute a Net Zero by 2050 roadmap.
